Ever felt like a ghost in your body. This is how I reclaim my fire - a More for Mom Summit Series

From Surviving to Thriving: Reclaiming Your Fire After Isolation

On the outside, Kiana Haddadi had it all: three engineering degrees, a successful career as a data scientist, and a marriage all before the age of 30.

She had walked the logical, linear path society sets out for us, checking every box along the way. But on the inside, she felt increasingly disoriented and disconnected, like a guest in her own life and a ghost in her own body.

In this deeply moving episode, Kiana shares her story of recognizing the devastating impact of emotional abuse and isolation.

She speaks to that pivotal moment of standing at the edge of an abyss, where she had to choose between disappearing into the pain or facing it head-on.

Her decision to "step into the forest of uncertainty" was the beginning of a profound journey back to herself.

Join us as Kiana and Shawna discuss the subtle ways we can lose ourselves, the importance of listening to the signals our bodies send us, and the incredible power of creativity as a tool for healing.

Kiana’s story is a beautiful reminder that no matter how disconnected you feel, it is always possible to find your way back to your own warmth, reconnect with your inner child, and build a life that is not just survived, but truly lived.

TLFMTR (Too Long For Mom To Read):

  • Stepping into the Forest: The power of leaving a linear, "logical" path that no longer serves you to embrace the beautiful uncertainty of a life aligned with your true self.

  • Listening to Your Body: How to recognize the physical and emotional signals your body sends when something isn't right, even when you've been conditioned to ignore them.

  • The Power of Creativity in Healing: Kiana shares how crocheting and connecting with her inner child helped her process trauma and build a new life filled with softness and joy.

  • Guilt-Free Rest is a Superpower: A discussion on overcoming the inner critic that demands perfectionism and burnout, and the empowerment that comes from allowing yourself to rest without shame.

  • Your Five-Minute Lifeline: A simple, powerful practice of taking just five minutes a day to ask yourself, "What can I do today that no one else can do for me?"

What is one small, gentle thing you can do today just for you, without needing to justify it or earn it?

Remember, you are a great mom, and you're not alone in this.
